Where It All Started
Founded in 2024, Inspectd was created by two New York firefighters who recognized the need for a smarter way to document and track fire department equipment inspections. We understand the importance of keeping accurate records of equipment condition and maintenance to ensure the safety of firefighters and the communities they serve.
Our technology provides real-time updates on broken or missing equipment, allowing fire departments to quickly take action and ensure their equipment is always ready when needed. In early 2026, we took things a step further with the launch of D.A.B.S. — our Digital Accountability Board System.
With D.A.B.S., departments can issue digital RFID accountability tags to every firefighter on the fire ground while also utilizing a fully digital command board, bringing traditional whiteboard command operations into the digital age.
